Cultural organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean face many challenges, including establishment of strategic relationships, promotion of information exchange, and the consequent access to opportunities. In this regard, the ICDF is committed to help organizations develop institutional capacities to become more successful, efficient and sustainable.
Focusing on technical assistance, network building, and financial support, the ICDF has identified strategic action areas for capacity building. Among them are:
- Technical assistance: including strategic planning, project development, and management and negotiation skills.
- Network building: including the identification of strategic alliances and the establishment of partnerships with governments, private sector and non-profit organizations at the regional, national and international levels.
- Financial support: including the identification of financing sources and donors’ benefits, project preparation for grant financing, and development of fund-raising strategies.
